Matthew Wolf – Capital Group Partner and Investment Analyst

Matthew Wolf, Capital Group partner and investment analyst from August 2008 to February 2023, was responsible for evaluating, recommending and investing in European energy and utilities, as well as Asia-Pacific telecommunications and the Australian real estate, banking, insurance and retail sectors. He managed a portfolio of around $2 billion in eight equity mutual funds with both income and growth mandates. From 2014 to 2017, Mr Wolf served as research portfolio coordinator for the group’s New Perspective Fund, and from 2022 to 2023 he served the same role for the group’s Capital World Growth and Income Fund.

Between September 2017 and August 2019, Mr Wolf was also a research director for the group, leading a team of eight investment analysts with Asia-Pacific responsibilities. In this role he recruited, hired and mentored new analysts and gathered and delivered portfolio manager feedback for performance reviews. He also organised investment retreats and assigned coverage.
